Series One Overview


The show Quiet in the Countryside is a period television show set in the early 1960s. The show is based in the midlands in the UK and focuses around a detective solving weird and often disturbing crimes.

Our latest show takes a lot of inspiration from the grand works of fiction and the real crimes of the period; including inspiration from the famous Great Train Robbery of 1963. The main plot is overarching across the whole series with different sub plots in each episode.

Episode 1 - Home
Detective Montgomery arrives in the village of Kings Head Warwickshire. Upon arrival he notices a spat of thefts occurring in the middle of the day and in very busy areas.

Episode 2 - Annabel
A young girl called Annabel goes missing from her classroom leaving behind a string of questions and more mystery to be answered.

Episode 3 - River
A family on a train seemly vanishes, their luggage is found washed up on the River bank and their house burns down; Can Montgomery solve the case?

Episode 4 - Hole 
A series of whole start appearing around the village; a mysterious man is seen around them. The holes are one mystery, but the other arises from the body found in another. 

Episode 5 - Eden
A mail train is robbed in the dead of night inside the woods outside Eden, A mystery notebook turns up on Montgomery's desk; And a body is recovered from a barn. Montgomery is against the clock

Episode 6 - Hope
Montgomery is racing against the clock to catch the mail train robbers; but will he catch them in time and retrieve the stolen goods.
